The cyanotype delivers an ethereal image, in shades of blue. I used acid-free cotton paper, and handmade paper, which allows for transparencies, deep and subdued tones. The subtlety of the face is integrated with the traces of leaves, flowers and stems, and they form a unit, intertwined through the embroidery.
