Guacimara Melián

As a painter, I started with the watercolour technique, making my first exhibitions in 2001. Experimenting with other materials, I found in the theme of the sea my inspiration for my work. Nowadays, my works, of impressionist style, are merging with the abstract, giving importance to textures and colour combinations, taking the island landscape as a reference. The human figure is represented in some pieces, recreating moments of life by the sea.
