Giovanna Gil Alves

I am an artist whose works include paintings, drawings, ceramics and illustrations. From an early age, I have had a keen interest in drawing and painting, and my creative journey has been anything but linear, with a generally autobiographical and environmentally inspired approach. Although I have had a great interest in drawing and painting since I was young, it was when I was 22 that I really dedicated myself completely to art, abandoning my studies in construction to begin a career in architecture. Throughout my artistic career, I seek to perfect my technique and creative expression, participating in workshops and courses both nationally and internationally. Each learning experience has enriched my artistic vision and has allowed me to explore new ways of representing my inner world through my works. In my workshop, located in the comfort of my home, I stay in a world of creativity and passion. I have been granted the Declaration of Cultural Interest by the Ministry of Culture Education of Uruguay SINCE 2023 and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for my exhibitions abroad. One of his great passions also lies in writing. Author of several books, some of her titles are: “I have realized” in 2018, “360” in 2019 and “How to become an artist and make your gift a profession” in 2023. In addition to my individual works, I also participate in world anthologies such as “Poems of love and peace” and “1 Story 1 smile”, demonstrating my versatility and commitment to literature at an international level.
