Lanzarote Art Gallery by Eduardo Fariña Art Collector, is pleased to invite you to the inauguration of the exhibition “The Invisible Half “ on February 27 from 20:00h
From history and from a critical perspective, the role of women and their important work has become invisible; a work that has been silenced in politics, art, science, social and economic development. Society has given women a passive, submissive and traditional role relegating them exclusively to the maternal and conjugal place or in the role of muse/model in order to please or be seen by others. Women are 50% of the world’s population, an invisible half who today demand the recognition of their contribution to today’s society and their important role in history. The artists from the exhibition “The Invisible Half” claim these invisible roles taking twelve women as an example of this invisible half. With this collection, the artists project the essence of these women in their photographs. A great opportunity to transmit our message as Art Gallery and show some of the works of some of the most promising artists of our ambit. We present new work by artists such as: Fefa Toledo – Jaqueline Sánchez – Heleci Ramirez – Naywa Pacheco An important selection of photographs will be on display from February 27 till March 28 ( M-F: 11:30-14:00 and 17:30-20:30 ; S:11:30-14:00). Lanzarote Art Gallery is an art gallery known for showing both established and emerging talent in which to invest now in the creators who are shaping our way of consuming design and art.
